The Egyptian Writers Union’s General Syndicate is led by Dr.
Alaa Abdel Hadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Syndicate of the Federation of Egypt, and the Secretary -General of the General Union of Arab Writers and Writers, the great novelist Bahaa Taher, member of the Writers Union, said in his statement: “The Arab Library enriched with literary works And may God have mercy on the great novelist, grant him forgiveness, and give his family, friends, and other loved ones patience and comfort.
After a battle with illness, the late had passed away at the age of 87. Bahaa Taher was born on January 13, 1935, in the Giza Governorate. From 1956 to 1957, he worked as a translator for the State Information Service, and from 1958 to 1975, when he was banned from writing, he worked as a play director and broadcaster on the second show. He left Egypt and went in Africa and Asia, where he worked as a translator, after being prevented from writing.
Between 1981 through 1995, he resided in Geneva and worked as a translator for the UN before moving back to Egypt.
And in fulfillment of his great literary achievement and what he presented to the General Syndicate of the Egyptian Writers Union, the head of the union, Dr. Alaa Abdel -Hadi on the selection of the union’s board of directors, the great writer Bahaa Taher, an honorary chairman of the Union for a year, starting from December 1, 2018..
The Arab Library is enhanced by outstanding feature works, according to The Federation of Egyptian Writers’ Naeia Bahaa Taher.
