A person was killed and four others were injured, including Spanish football player Pablo Mary, in a knife attack in a mall near Milan, according to the media, pointing to an isolated act committed by an unbalanced person.
An Italian, 46, who has psychological issues was detained shortly after the afternoon attack in Asago, on the outskirts of Milan, according to the Italian News Agency (ANSA).
The organisation went on to say that the deceased man worked at the Carrefour store inside the mall where the attack occurred and that four other persons had suffered serious injuries.
The initial phases of the inquiry revealed that the assailant, who was receiving mental health treatment, grabbed a knife before stabbing other people who were standing next to him.
The defence at Monza changed with the injured Spanish football star Pablo Mary.
According to a source close to the club, he was taken to the hospital while conscious and capable of speaking.
“Dear Pablo, we’re all here for you, and aside your family, we love you. Keep battling like you always did; you’re a fighter, and you’ll get better quickly.”
