According to a press release from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he reported on its website on the social networking site Twitter today, Thursday, this occurred during a phone call that the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received from his American counterpart to congratulate him on the occasion of his appointment as the State of Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the call, the minister expressed their desire for more contact and cooperation on matters of mutual interest between the two friendly nations, noting the historical junctures of the close ties that bind the State of Kuwait and the United States of America.
The two ministers reaffirmed the depth and uniqueness of these ties, as well as their shared commitment to boosting regional peace and security. They also discussed the general bilateral ties that bind the two friendly nations and the most recent events on the regional and global fronts.
