Sheikh Mohamed Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, arrived in Egypt this afternoon and was greeted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at El Alamein Airport, according to Ambassador Bassam Rady, the Republic’s official spokesperson.
Some questioned the significance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s visit to Egypt and the benefits that would flow to Egypt.
According to Ahmed Othman, a security expert, President Abdel Fattah El-meeting Sisi’s with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan indicates many important meanings in the vitality of bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to emphasising the extent of permanent communication and continuous coordination between the two countries. While ensuring Egypt, the UAE, and other Arab nations’ security and stability.
In exclusive statements to Al-Fajr, the security expert continued, “The visit of the President of the Emirates to Egypt indicates the utmost importance of Egypt and its strength among the Middle Eastern countries, in addition to the strength of relations between the two countries and the continuous agreement between them in various files and issues at the international and regional levels, in addition to the issues raised on the Arab region level.”
Othman stated that cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in many fields helps to strengthen the two countries’ strategic alliance and supports joint Arab unity in confronting regional challenges, noting that the bilateral meeting between President Sisi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed confirms Arab unity.
And he stated that the elevation of the President of the Emirates strengthens Arab cooperation and unity at the Arab region’s level, and works to unify all efforts in order to reach continuous solutions to the crises experienced by the region’s countries, which contribute to consolidating the pillars of security and stability in the two countries, and I also call for achieving stability and peace for all Arab peoples.
All Arab and international nations have learnt Egypt’s vital and robust position as a key pillar of security and stability in the area, as well as its estimated efforts to encourage collective Arab action at all levels, according to the security expert.
He added that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s visit to Egypt will send a number of important messages, including: maintaining stability, Arab and Gulf national security, and strategic and historical ties that have linked Egypt and the UAE throughout history, emphasising that Egypt and the UAE share views on all issues and at all levels.
