Yemen welcomes the United Nations condemnation of the Houthi attack on the port of Daba

The Houthi militia must be “deterred,” according to the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which hailed today’s Security Council raid on the Daba oil port.
The Security Council’s statement, according to the Yemeni Foreign Ministry, confirms the urgent necessity for “deterring” the Houthi militia and its acts, which are thought to pose a threat to regional and global security.

The UN Security Council denounced the Houthi use of drones in an attack on the port of Daba on October 21 in a statement released yesterday.
The Houthi attack on the port of Daba, according to the council, “is a major threat to the peace process in Yemen and its stability,” according to a statement sent by the Ireland mission to the UN through its “Twitter” account.
The Houthis demanded that such attacks stop right now and that measures be made to extend the armistice in Yemen.

He also emphasised how the security and freedom of passage that are protected by international law are at risk due to the Houthi offensive.
He emphasised the necessity for the Houthis to cease such attacks by stating that any increase in security “would deepen the misery of the Yemenis.”

Members of the UN Security Council reaffirmed their support for Hans Grendberg, the organization’s special envoy, in his efforts to find a comprehensive political solution led by Yemen and based on accepted precedents.

This occurs as the Yemeni Council of Ministers called on the international community, as well as Yemen’s partners in the fight against terrorism, to designate the Houthi militia as a terrorist organisation, prohibit communication with it, and cut off its funding sources at a meeting held in the interim capital of Aden on Wednesday.

Yemen appreciates that the UN denounced the Houthi attack on the port of Daba.
