The recent surge in fires in the governorates

Following the outbreak of the Carrefour fire in Alexandria, as well as a fire at the Church of the Cross in Assiut, citizens have been in a state of terror and great dread for the past 24 hours.
As a result, locals began searching various social networking sites for information on these more common fires. This is why the Al-Fajr electronic website is aiming to provide as much information on the flames as possible.
At 3:00 p. m.

Images of a fire at the Muharram Bey region’s Carrefour Mall began to spread on the social networking website Facebook. This prompted the workers to publish photographs of the mall’s fire, while residents gathered to ask for help.
The Civil Protection pushed fire engines to limit the fire, which was eventually extinguished.
Ambulances were also dispatched by the Ministry of Health to rescue the injured from the fire.

A preliminary investigation was undertaken by the Public Prosecution, and it was revealed that the accident was caused by a short circuit.
At exactly 7 p.m. that day, footage of a fire that broke out at the Church of the Cross in the Monastery of the Virgin Mary on Western Mount Assiut, just after the Virgin’s wedding, were posted on different social media sites.

Civil protection personnel in Assiut received a complaint of a fire in the church, where firefighting vehicles and ambulances were dispatched, and the fire was extinguished within the church.
It was discovered that a fire had begun in a room in the church that had a large number of paper cartons, and the visitors were able to put out the fire with one another’s help before it spread, resulting in no casualties.

At this time of year, hundreds of pilgrims visit the Virgin Mary convent, known as Drunka, to commemorate the last night of the Virgin’s birth, which corresponds with the Virgin’s fasting.
