South Korea: We will increase our financing to help developing countries to alleviate the effects of climate change

Today, Thursday, South Korea’s Prime Minister Han Duck Soo declared that his nation would raise financing to assist developing nations in reducing the effects of climate change.
Han added at a conference on sustainable dialogue in the Pacific region that South Korea “will strongly support the efforts of developing countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and respond to climate change,” according to Yonhap News Agency.

Han said that South Korea will increase its foreign assistance to finance climate issues and expand its funding to the Green Climate Fund, an international organization to combat climate change.
Han emphasised the need for a coordinated global effort to ensure a sustainable and adaptable “green recovery.”
