28 people were killed by Hurricane Bangladesh

After a hurricane slammed Bangladesh, millions of people lost access to electricity, resulting in at least 28 fatalities and four other losses.
While the hurricane was passing through the Bay of Bengal, divers from the fire system discovered four dead that belonged to a boat that had been sinking.
The authorities were able to evacuate roughly a million people before Hurricane “Citrang” made landfall in southern Bangladesh late on Monday.

“The body from Tuesday night was discovered, along with three others, this morning (Wednesday). There are still four crew members missing.”
The government of Panama reported that about 10,000 run-down homes with tin bishop were “destroyed or damaged,” and the crops were uprooted on wide tracts of agricultural land. The agency stated that approximately five million people are still without electricity.
The capital city of Dhaka in Bangladesh received trees from the hurricane hundreds of kilometres away from the storm’s centre.

There were no reports of injuries among the approximately 33,000 Rohingya refugees from Burma who were controversially moved from the mainland to an island vulnerable to storms in the Bay of Bengal. Instead, they were told to stay in their homes.

The fact that Cyclone Amfan, the second “high-strength” hurricane ever recorded in the Bay of Bengal, killed over a hundred people in Bangladesh and India in 2020 and caused millions of dollars in damage is notable.
Bangladesh, which has a population of around 170 million, is one of the nations most afflicted by air phenomenon since the turn of the century, according to the UN.
