The number of people killed in a terrorist attack on a shrine in the province’s capital city of Shiraz has risen to 15, according to an Iranian official in the south of the country. Two of the victims were youngsters.
The assistant political, security and social affairs in the governorate added, “Ismail Mahabi Port”, in a statement to the Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA (that a number of militants fired towards the visitors of the shrine, and continued that 27 people were injured in the attack as well.
IRNA quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the terrorists who were on a Peugeot Salon had headed towards the shrine and entered the door of the service assistants, and opened fire towards the workers and visitors there.
In a related context, judicial sources reported that three shooters opened fire on worshippers at the Shahjrag shrine at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
In the midst of ongoing efforts to locate the third terrorist element, two aggressive armed elements were reportedly apprehended.
