It will be the first formal visit of this level between Israel and Turkey in years when Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz arrives in Ankara on Wednesday.
Following the official reception with a review of the honour guards that his Turkish counterpart will arrange for the Israeli minister tomorrow, Thursday, Gantz will meet with Khulusi Akar at the Turkish Ministry of Defense’s headquarters in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Prior to Benny Gantz’s impending visit to Ankara, Turkish Defense Minister Khulusi Akar has stated that “the overall situation with his Israeli counterpart, Benny Gantz.”
“Gantz’s travel to Turkey will be the first of its sort in this level, in years,” the Turkish minister continued.
“Our policies and thoughts are clear,” he continued.
We will convey to them that the Turkish Republic has a highly open government, and depending on the developments that arise, we will determine what will carry us to the next step.
Even if there has been a “diplomatic estrangement” in Turkish-Israeli relations in recent years, the two nations’ economic ties have greatly improved over that time.
The first of this level for years .. Turkey is being visited by the Israeli Defense Minister.
