Urgent .. Egypt is achieving a fuel consumption of about 1430 thousand tons thanks to renewable energy projects

Within the framework of the National Renewable Energy Strategy, which aims to achieve a total participation of renewable energy sources of more than forty percent by 2035, and within the framework of the electricity sector strategy, which aims to diversify energy sources, expand the use of renewable energy, and rationalise the use of traditional energy sources.

The Renewable Energy Authority has released its fourteenth patrol (NREMER), including monitoring of renewable energy activities during the fiscal year 2021/2022, which shows the progress of business in the fields of water energy, solar, wind, and biological mass.
In the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022/2023, the bulletin revealed an improvement in electrical energy productivity of around 14.2 percent, or 4627 gigawatts per hour.

While wind energy projects recorded over 1845 GB per hour, a rise of nearly 10.8% from analogy per year, they also recorded a 4% gain over the previous year. Previous, while the energy produced from the network connected to the network reached about 1248 gigawatts an hour, an increase of about 0. 2%, from the previous year, as well as about 7 GB an hour generated from biofuels.

This highlights the important role of renewable energy in addressing the anticipated climate change of the Conference of the Twenty-Seventh Parties (COP27) in Sharm El Sheikh next November by helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 3500 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide and fuel savings of nearly 1430 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent.

In the most recent period, Egypt also signed 16 memoranda of understanding to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia with the biggest international and local alliances, as well as memoranda of understanding and letters of expression of interest from other international investment institutions, provided that these projects are carried out in stages over the following years. This demonstrates how eager foreign investors are to make investments in Egypt.

On the other hand, during the same time period, numerous renewable energy missions were imported, particularly the supplies for the wind power station in the Gulf of Suez and solar cells, where 542 batteries and 528 current changes were imported, indicating the expanding role of these projects in satisfying a component of the electrical demand in various sectors.

A must.. Egypt now consumes roughly 1430,000 tonnes of gasoline thanks to renewable energy initiatives.
