Biden and Sonak discuss the issues of Russia, Ukraine, China and Northern Ireland in their first contact

The White House reported that US President Joe Biden and the new British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak spoke on China, Russia, and Northern Ireland policy as well as unresolved issues.

The two leaders spoke for the first time since Sonak took office as prime minister, according to Axius, and talked about “their shared commitment to protect the gains of the Belfast / Great Convention and the need to maintain momentum toward reaching a negotiation agreement with the European Union on Northern Ireland’s protocol.”
Since the United Kingdom exited the European Union on January 1, 2021, there are still a number of unresolved concerns, including the border between Northern Ireland and Ireland.

In their initial conversation, Biden and Sonak discuss the problems in Russia, Ukraine, China, and Northern Ireland.
