In the southern key region of Jihadson, which Moscow controls part of, a top Ukrainian official predicted that his nation and Russia would engage in the “fiercest fights” and claimed that the Russian army is getting ready to face the sophisticated Ukrainian forces.
And the greatest metropolitan centre that Russia has retained since its conquest early in the invasion of Ukraine eight months ago is Jeresson, the capital of the region of the same name, which was home to some 280,000 people before the conflict.
Since early October, when Russia claimed that it had included the region and three other regions, a step carried out by 143 countries at the United Nations and described as a “attempt to include illegal,” it appears that the Ukrainian forces have not prepared many lands in their counter-attack in Jiusson.

Jacon, on the other hand, will be present for some of the more intense confrontations,” he continued without mentioning a specific date.
Jacon is arguably the most crucial tactic among the four districts that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced annexation of. Both the large area downstream of the Denbero River that divides Ukraine and the one unpaved route leading to the Crimean Peninsula, which Russia invaded in 2014, are under its control.
For weeks, officials of the Russian -backed Jeresson administration have broadcast warnings that the Ukrainian forces are about to attack the city and evacuate thousands of civilians with boats to the eastern bank of the Dnibro River.
One of Russia’s worst failures in the conflict will be its loss at Jacon.
The most intense clashes in Jesson will be fought between Russia and Ukraine.
