The United States announced on Tuesday that Russia has informed it of routine nuclear training, in a move that would reduce the risk of discretionary abuse in the midst of increasing fears that Moscow can use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

The Pentagon responded on Tuesday by stating that Russia has informed the United States of its plans to conduct nuclear force exercises.
