The Tunisian Foreign Minister confirms the commitment

Othman Al-Jarndi, the minister of foreign affairs, immigration, and Tunisians abroad, reaffirmed today (Tuesday) Blaah’s adherence to the UN Charter and the significance of multilateral cooperation under the auspices of the UN body.

This was stated in a speech given to the minister while he was taking part in the United Nations Day celebration organised by the UN Office in collaboration with the Municipality of Tunisia. The celebration was held in honour of the 77th anniversary of the entry of the founding charter of the UN organisation and was attended by several heads of diplomatic missions authorised in Tunisia as well as representatives of international organisations.

According to Al-Jardandi, the United Nations has survived numerous international upheavals and variables that have had an impact on the global system since its founding, including the transition from a two-poled to a unipolar to a multi-polar world with all the competing interests that go along with these changes.

He emphasised that the world can only be multilateral and that the current problems show this to be true as they are global problems that call for global solutions that everyone shares in developing. This was reflected in the Secretary-General of the United Nations’ call at the beginning of the “Corona” pandemonium. According to the current thinking, as long as no one is protected from the threat of an epidemic, nobody can.

The minister went on to say that this request is not just for the “Kofid-19” uprising. The initiative of Tunisian President Qais Saeed to present Resolution 2532 aimed at approving a humanitarian truce in the conflict areas adopted by the Security Council unanimously.

He emphasised the importance of the United Nations maintaining its position as a compass and refuge for the international community while also pointing out that the organization’s performance is subject to improvement, particularly in terms of its protocols and reaction time.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Tunisians Abroad emphasised that despite attempts to limit the role of the organisation within the confines of bureaucratic administrative, he continued to believe in the necessity of the organization’s existence, promotion, and preservation. He is one of the most ardent supporters of multilateral work due to his professional personal experience he gained while working at the United Nations, field work, and political negotiations.

The Minister thanked all the employees of the United Nations and the Peace Project from the Tunisian national competencies who contributed to the promotion of the banner of Tunisia, and to everyone who defended the values ​​of the United Nations, led by the late National Al -Hadi Al -Annabi, who held the position of the Special Representative of the Secretary -General of the United Nations in Haiti, and spent a victim In 2010, a catastrophic earthquake hit the nation.
