Muhammad Mazloum, an Iraqi poet, translator, and researcher, won the Serkon Bulus Prize for Poetry in 2022 and translated it into Arabic. Muhammad Mazloum, who is currently residing in Damascus, knew his poetic works with a special orientation, which speaks of a special July, a non -association figure, although it appears so.
The only private path left for this poet was exile, where he was preoccupied with creating his compound poem, impulsive in consolidating his personal experience, and chasing those references that he had seen in the works of others. He also encountered obstacles when translating Western poetry, particularly American poetry, and the success of bureaus and works of Arab heritage.
Perhaps the relationship between Sarkoun and Muhammad Mazloum is deep, especially in the continuation of the oppressed by the translation of the poets of the American House, who was the first of the Arabs of Arabs from their poetry since the days of the “Poetry” magazine.
Muhammad Mazloum was born in Baghdad in 1963, where he also finished college.
He experienced the horrors of Iraqi life like the majority of his generation both inside and outside of Iraq, serving as a soldier during conscription, an Arabic language instructor in Iraqi Kurdistan, a journalist translating significant poetic works, and researching well-known books outside of his own country.
He was issued to him many poetic translations, especially for the American “generation” poets, and basic heritage investigations, including the Diwan of Safy al -Din al -Hali, the full correct texts (2016), humor and forgetfulness in the Majun Abi Nawas (2017), and he was particularly interested in the manuscripts of the poet Tawfiq Sayegh, Tawfiq Sayegh: Tarida in the Maze (2015) and “The Earth, the Earth, T, AS Elliot, translation: Tawfiq Sayegh” are the only two that have been released thus far (2017).
Among his collections are: “Not stipulated – committees”, “late”, “passing between the mirrors of suspicions”, “Muhammad and those with him”, “the sleeper and his biography” and “five Iraqi poets” (selections with others) and “Andalus for Baghdad – a poem Additionally, “Fatima Book,” “Bazi Al-Nisa,” and “Iskandar Al-Barbara.”
