Police in London, Ontario say a guy has been detained following an alleged robbery in the city’s north end.
According to police, a male entered a business Monday morning about 8:50 a.m. in the vicinity of Adelaide Street North and Fanshawe Park Road East.
According to reports, he hid numerous products in a trolley before scurrying out of the store without paying.
Security confronted the man outside the shop. Police say he reportedly took out a hammer and made threats toward security before fleeing on a bicycle.
There were no reported injuries.
Nearby police made an arrest of the individual, and all stolen goods were found.
One count of robbery has been brought against a 45-year-old London man.
He’s been released from custody and is set to appear in court on Dec. 5..
