Users who choose the dark appearance will notice that the background of the video page and the playlists have startling colours. This was announced in conjunction with the company’s celebration of the platform’s 17th anniversary of inception.
According to a YouTube official blog post, the company is working to publish its new design elements for all users, whether on the web or on phone applications, and YouTube said it is doing this based on the evaluation it received from the users and their desire to produce a more vibrant design that represents its brand better.

Together with dynamic colour, this new option introduces a subtle change in colour that enables the application’s background to adjust to the colour of the video the user is viewing.
The business stated that this update has made the issue better by making it darker, and YouTube expects that this small tweak will increase the video’s colours as it spreads to users of smart TV, online, and mobile applications.
