Saudi Energy Minister to strain relations with Washington: We decided to be mature

Saudi Arabia opted to act with “maturity” toward the tense relations between Riyadh and Washington after the disagreement over the decision of the “OPEC+” group reduction, according to Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.

During his participation in the “Future Investment Initiative” conference in Riyadh, the Saudi Energy Minister responded to a question on the restoration of goodwill between Riyadh and Washington by saying, “We in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to be mature.
He also mentioned that Riyadh is in contact with several European governments over the current problem. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stressed that Saudi Arabia will be the supplier for everyone who has a need.

This comes amid a dispute between Riyadh and Washington following the “OPEC +” decision to reduce oil production by two million barrels per day starting next November, as the United States looms to reassess its relations with Saudi Arabia as a result of this decision, which the White House described as “alignment” with Russia.
