Before leaving for Buckingham Palace, where she will formally hand in her resignation to King Charles III, Liz Terrace hurled her final letter.
Regarding the Ukrainian Russian war, Tarras said: “We must support Ukraine in its war against the Russian attack and we must continue to strengthen our defenses. ”
She was congratulated by Rishi Sonak’s terrace, who will take over for her in this role.
Following the failure of her economic strategy, which upset the markets and caused the British pound to plunge to record lows, Tasras announced her resignation. With only 44 days left in office, her government had the shortest tenure ever.
Rishi Sonak, the third Prime Minister of Britain this year, will be announced by King Charles III later, before Sonak starts to develop his narrative while dealing with economic and political issues.
Sonak, the first Asian-born British prime minister, was picked as the party’s leader on Monday in an effort to stabilise the economy and reverse the party’s declining popularity following Liz Terrace’s brief and disastrous term.
Sonak, 42, the youngest leader of the United Kingdom in more than 200 years, must help a struggling economy while also seeking to bring together a fractious and fractured party that is trailing the opposition in polls.
