Vertz returns to the group training Bayern Leverkusen

After recovering from a severe knee injury he sustained in March, Florian Vertz has rejoined the Bayer Leverkusen group training sessions. However, he is unlikely to play for Germany at the Qatar-hosted 2022 World Cup.
Vertz “finished parts of team training” during the day, the Bayer Leverkusen Club reported late Monday night.
The striker Vertz, 19, was a rupture in the cruciate ligament of the knee in mid -March.

The prospect of his playing for Leverkusen in the games leading up to the World Cup and the German League’s (Bundesliga) Winter Victory, which starts in mid-November, was not made obvious in the image.

Vertz has played in four international contests for the German national team since making his debut in the past year, but it is unlikely that he will be included in the squad for the World Cup, which begins on November 20, as coach Hanzi Felk stated that he will only select players from the list of 26 who are fully fit.
Karim Bellabei also resumed training at Leverkusen after overcoming a knee ailment he sustained in August.

Vertz rejoins the Bayern Leverkusen team’s group practise.
