A funny method adopted by a university in the Philippines to prevent cheating in exams

Social media pioneers posted a collection of pictures of a university in the Philippines that required its students—who were notorious for cheating frequently during exams—to wear “hats” to stop it. The students then opted to show up to the exam committees wearing these odd hats.
On social media, this was mocked.

Students at the Faculty of Engineering in the Philippine city of Legazbin were had to don peculiar headwear that prevented them from glancing at their classmates while taking examinations, turning the exam room into more of a denial party.
Some of them carried items like cardboard, egg boxes, various kinds of handmade hats, and other things.
According to the supervisor professor, she looked for a “funny manner” to guarantee the validity of the exams in each section.

Many students obliged by creating cardboard hats, egg boxes, and other recyclable items at their houses. One student even made their own spectacles out of paper tubes, while others donned hallways, helmets, or masks.
And the idea’s creator, Mechanical Engineering Professor Mandan Ortiz, went on to say that she was searching for a “nice manner” to guarantee “integrity and honesty” in her classroom and that her proposal was “very effective.”

In the Philippines, where many other universities have imitated them in an effort to eradicate the fraud epidemic, the photographs quickly gained extensive distribution and news coverage.
