Cristiano Ronaldo is brought back to court after being acquitted of rape charges.

According to the Daily Mail, a woman who accused Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo of rape has appealed a US judge’s decision to dismiss the civil complaint, and Catherine Mayorgas attorneys will appear in court in San Francisco this week in an attempt to retain her claim for 54 million in damages.
According to the Daily Mail, Mayorga, 37, is attempting to overturn a $275,000 out-of-court settlement reached with him in 2010.

In June, US District Judge Jennifer Dorsey dismissed the complaint, noting that Mayorgas’ counsel acted in bad faith and relied on stolen material.

The alleged rape is said to have taken place in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009, after they met at a nightclub the same night. A legal action has been taken.

The claim was made public in 2017, and her attorneys indicated that she was urged to speak out as part of a movement against sexual harassment, so she filed a legal lawsuit to have the non-disclosure agreement declared unenforceable.
Earlier court records suggested that she was demanding 18 million for past and future pain and suffering, as well as another 18 million for punitive damages.
In 2018, Ronaldo claimed, “I unequivocally dispute the claims brought against me.”

Rape is a heinous crime that goes against everything I stand for and believe in. Prosecutors in the United States investigated, but he was not prosecuted.

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to court following his acquittal on rape accusations.
