This is the position of Sonak on Iran, the Revolutionary Guards, and the nuclear agreement

After the recent attack in New York on the British author of Indian ancestry Salman Rushdie, then-British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak called for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to be designated as a terrorist organisation, questioned the viability of the nuclear deal, and called for tighter sanctions against Tehran. This was before he was appointed as the leader of the Conservative Party and before he became the Prime Minister of Britain.

In a statement to the newspaper, Sonak said “The Iranian Revolutionary Guard must be designated as a terrorist organisation, according to The Telegraph.
On the nuclear deal, Sonak said: “We urgently need a new and enhanced nuclear deal and tougher penalties, and if we cannot achieve results, we must start asking whether the joint comprehensive work plan has reached a dead end.

“The horrific attack on Salman Rushdie with the knives should be a message to the West, and the Iranian response to the attack increases the need for imposing a ban on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard,” he concluded.
Since he became prime minister, he has carried out his commitment to confront the Iranian government, which has faced numerous challenges since he came to office more than 43 years ago.

The United Kingdom requires stability and unity, according to Rishi Sonak, the new prime minister of Great Britain.
In a statement broadcast on television, he stated, “We are confronting a serious economic crisis and we need stability and unity.” He continued, “I promise to serve integrity and humility.”

Shortly before that, he stressed in a speech to the Conservative Party members earlier today, that the selection of ministers will not be dependent on the names but rather the approach, indicating that it will focus on policies, not personalities.
He added: “All the party’s wings will be represented in the cabinet” and “We have one opportunity to reform and restore our unity,” emphasising that the government’s top objective is achieving economic stability.

Sonak’s stance on Iran, the Revolutionary Guards, and the nuclear deal is as follows.
