British Defense: Military talks between Moscow and London on Ukraine

The British Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, that the British Chief of Defense Staff Admiral Tony Radakin discussed a phone with the first deputy of the Russian Defense Minister and the Chief of General Staff Valere Girassemov the situation in Ukraine
In a statement that it released on its official website, the ministry claimed that Radakin reaffirmed London’s ongoing support for Kiev.

The statement stated that “the military officials agreed on the importance of maintaining the keeping of open communication channels between the United Kingdom and Russia to manage the risks of miscalculation and facilitate the suspension of escalation. ” He emphasised that the call was made at the Russian side’s initiative.

This conversation followed a phone contact between a minister and a woman. The British defense between Wallace with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoyo yesterday, and another contact between France’s foreign ministers, the United Kingdom and the United States last night regarding the situation in Ukraine.

It is noteworthy that on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that he had begun a military operation against Ukrainian targets with the intention of defending the citizens of the Donbas region. This announcement sparked severe economic sanctions against Russia from many Western and American nations.
