Premier Scott Moe lauds Sask. economy in speech to Saskatoon business leaders

In a speech to business executives in Saskatoon today, Premier Scott Moe stressed Saskatchewan’s economic strength and contribution to global energy and food security.
At a luncheon hosted by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, Moe stated that the province’s resource business, which includes potash and uranium, is crucial both domestically and internationally.

His remarks come ahead of the Saskatchewan Party government’s speech from the throne on Wednesday, when it will outline its plan and project a balanced budget supported by a surge in resource earnings.
Legislation establishing control over Saskatchewan’s resources is something the government intends to introduce.
To address the existing labour shortage, Moe wants to expand the amount of immigrants.
