Korean Air plane stuck in grass after overshooting runway

After missing the runway the previous night in the rainy weather, a damaged Korean Air plane remained stranded in the grass at a Philippine airport as of Monday (local time).
The 162 passengers and 11 crew members who had to utilise the emergency slides to leave were not hurt.
Dozens of flights have been cancelled and Mactan international airport, one of the country’s busiest, remained closed due to the stalled aircraft at the end of its lone runway.

The plane’s nose sustained significant damage, and its front underbelly was torn off.
The emergency slides were deployed at the doors, and the aircraft was lying tip-over forward on a patch of grass. There was also a ripped-open hole near a front door at the top of the aircraft.
In bad weather, the jet made two attempts to land before missing the runway on the third.

After overshooting the runway, a Korean Air plane became trapped in the grass.
