The resigned British Prime Minister, Liz Tarras, congratulated Rishi Sonak on his assumption of the presidency of the Conservative and Ministers Party.
Tarras stated, “You have my full support,” in a tweet for quick blogs sent via Twitter, which was picked up by the BBC today, Monday.
The former British Treasury Secretary, Rishi Sonak, won, shortly, led by the Conservative Party after the withdrawal of his only competitor Benny Mourtun from the race in the last moments before the end of the deadline for receiving the nominations, thus becoming the new president of the government to succeed the Prime Minister Liz Terrace.
Sonak, 42, is the country’s youngest prime minister in modern times and the country’s first leader of Asian ancestry.
Following the non-funded tax cuts package that was announced on September 23 and caused turbulence in the financial markets as well as a decline in the value of the pound, Tarras resigned last week from the presidency of the Conservative Party and the British government just 45 days after it came to power.
Liz Terrach extends her congratulations and support to Rishi Sonak, the next prime minister of the United Kingdom.
