Iranian security assaults high school students in Tehran

News from Al-Madinah: After refusing to remove their clothes and hand up their cell phones today, Monday, Tehran high school students were physically assaulted by authorities.
According to Reuters, social media videos shared on Twitter showed that the security personnel fired tear gas to scatter the families who had gathered in front of the school.

In protest of the recent killings and arrests, which primarily targeted college students and schoolchildren, thousands of teachers chose not to go to work on Sunday.
At least 23 juveniles were killed by the police forces during the rallies, Amnesty International confirmed last week.
More than 400 demonstrators, mostly young people, were killed, according to the National Council for Iranian Resistance.

According to reports, protests have continued in the nation since since Amani passed away on September 16, 2022, three days after being detained by the Ethics Police and subsequently taken to a hospital in Tehran.

Her death has since ignited the fire of anger over several issues, among them the restrictions imposed on personal freedoms and strict rules related to women’s clothes, as well as the living and economic crisis that the Iranians suffer from, not to mention the strict rules imposed by the regime and its political composition in general.
Along with prominent singers, athletes, and actors, women participated actively in these demonstrations, as did university students and schools.

On the other hand, the authorities forcefully resisted this movement, arresting hundreds of people without cause in numerous neighbourhoods and locations while also using live ammunition.
