China’s railway freight volume climbed 5.9% year on year in the first seven months of this year.
According to the Chinese news agency (Xinhua), citing data from the Chinese Ministry of Transport, Chinese railways transported more than 2. 89 billion tonnes of goods between January and July of this year, with Chinese railways handling 414. 33 million tonnes of cargo in July, a 12. 3% increase over the same period last year.
According to the data, between January and July, China’s railway freight turnover climbed 9.2% year on year to 2.05 trillion tonnes.
The volume of railway freight in China rose by 5.9%.
