Millions of British homeowners are worried that the price of gas and electricity would more than double from its current high.
Experts have cautioned that energy prices might increase to 6,000 annually for the typical home starting in April, according to the British news agency (PA Media).
According to consulting firm Occellione, the cost of living is expected to worsen between now and next summer. They forecast that over the following eight months, maximum bill rates will progressively increase by more than 4,000.
The maximum, in their estimation, will be 3,576 in October, 4,799 in January, and 6,089 in April.
The revised forecast indicates increases of 96 in January and 233 in April above the first projection.
The current maximum for the typical household is 1,713. For homes with higher energy consumption, costs are higher.
In the UK, energy costs are anticipated to increase more than threefold.
