Discuss the strategy of the competition protection agency and the prevention of monopolistic practices on the second day of the economic conference

The general characteristics of the state’s ownership document, competitive neutrality, and its role in achieving the sustainable development goals are covered on the second day of the economic conference, Egypt 2022, in addition to a review of the steps the Egyptian government has taken to improve competitive neutrality.

The second day of the economic conference will discuss in its first session several axes related to the mechanisms of implementing the Egyptian state’s ownership policy and the strategy of the competition protection agency and the prevention of monopolistic practises, as well as the role of the policy of competitive neutrality in promoting the economy and the participation of the private sector. This information was provided by Ambassador Nader Saad, the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

In order to enable the role of the private sector in development and to reach visions regarding the expected role of these institutions, it is anticipated that the partnership opportunities with regional and international financing institutions will be discussed in the second session of the second day of the conference. The conference also aims to define economic reforms that in turn stimulate local private sector investments. In addition to reviewing the public and private sector successes that have been attained within the framework of international cooperation and development financing, as well as identifying opportunities for future international partnerships, the foreigner and the crucial role of international partnerships that support these reforms are also discussed.

The third session will contain the official road map formulation sessions for the government’s key sectors in the upcoming term. Along this path, various interactive meetings will be held to exchange expert opinions on the policies necessary to attain national goals in these sectors.

As for the fourth session, it is assumed that Egypt’s regional role will be discussed as a renewable energy center in it, and this session is entitled “Egypt’s regional role as a renewable energy center”, which covers several axes regarding the energy sector strategy until 2035 and the transformation of a more sustainable stage, and it is scheduled to discuss investment mechanisms in Renewable energies in Egypt, current and future foreign investment projects, green hydrogen projects and preparing the national acydrogen strategy, dealing with the general perception of the green energy corridor, in addition to the strategy of the Ministry of Electricity and renewable energy for electrical connection with neighboring countries, developing the control system in the national network, and tasks of distribution networks The

The fifth session will discuss the Egyptian government’s efforts to maximise the benefits of real estate wealth, as well as developing a road map to increase the real estate sector’s efficiency and competitiveness in the economy, discussing the export of Egyptian real estate, and establishing a specific and comprehensive road map with the goal of enhancing and developing the real estate sector.
