An Indian city hopes to achieve a new world record in the lights of the Diwali Festival

Up the eve of the Hindu Festival, the Indian city of Audia put on a spectacular display of lamps.
As the city attempts to break a world record, local media claimed that approximately 1. 6 million oil lamps were lighting today, Monday.
Both Yuji Adyanath, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were present.
The Guinness Book of Records was unable to provide an official confirmation.

The city has achieved a global record for the largest exhibition of oil lamps so far in 2021, as more than 900,000 lamps were lit.
One of the most significant celebrations for Hindus is the festival of the lamps, also known as “Depavali” in some regions.
