The brilliant author Naguib Sorour (1932–1988), who authored plays, poetry, messages, and criticism, passed away on this day in 1978. During the widespread riots and rallies against the British colonisation of Egypt, Naguib Sorour started writing his first lyrical experiences, which were impacted by the deaths of many Egyptian victims who were students and workers.
