Indonesian President: We will continue to support Palestine to become an independent state

Goku Widodo, the president of Indonesia, emphasised that his country will continue to back Palestine’s bid for independence by offering it both financial and humanitarian aid.
This came in a joint press statement with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Ashtia, who is currently visiting a state of Indonesia, according to the Antara / Indonesian news agency.

“In addition to humanitarian aid, Indonesia provides assistance in building capacity in preparation for the independence of Palestine,” said Goku Widodo.
In his speech on economic cooperation, the president of Indonesia stated that trade between the two nations increased by 21 percent between January and July 2022.

28 % compared to the same period in 2021, noting that “Indonesia provided unilateral facilities in the form of exemption from Dates and olive import fees from Palestine to Indonesia, and facilities will be applied to other products from Palestine.
