Warnings of a major terrorist attack in Nigeria

On Sunday, the Ministry of Security in Nigeria urged the Nigerian secret police to calm amid a security warning from the United States embassy in Abuja, according to a statement to the spokesman for the Ministry of Security, Peter Afunnya.
The embassy issued a warning, stating that there was a “growing threat of terrorist strikes in Nigeria, specifically in Abuja.”

“The objectives may include, but are not limited to, government structures, houses of worship, educational institutions, marketplaces, shopping malls, inns, dining establishments, venues for sporting events, transit hubs, police stations, and international organisations.”
The people must maintain a state of alertness and provide the security forces with relevant information regarding dangers and suspicious criminal activity nearby, the ministry emphasised. “The required steps are taken by everyone and separately,” it was emphasised.

While working with other law enforcement agencies and partners to uphold peace and order in Abuja and overseas, the agency also issues a plea for calm.
Earlier, the theater commander told the joint work band, the Hadadan Kai, Major General Christopher Moussa, said that more than 81,000 fighters from Boko Haram and ISIS in West Africa (ISWAP) and their families surrendered to the army.

Major General Moussa said in a detailed statement of the numbers during a media conference at the headquarters in Maidoguri, that more than 40 thousand children, 24 thousand women and 16378 men.
He claims that a new detention facility is being constructed to accommodate the increasing number of rebels who have turned to God, and that the theatre commander has promised to place soldiers in each of the four facilities.
