Saudi Arabia ranked first as the largest oil supplier to China

Data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs showed on Monday that supplies from Russia, including oil that is pumped through the East Siberian pipeline, the Pacific and the shipments transported by sea from Russia’s ports in Europe and the Far East, amounted to 7. 46 million tons.
The amount, 1. 82 million barrels per day, is down from 1. 96 million barrels per day in August and from a record high of around two million barrels per day in May.

The largest supplier of oil to China, Saudi Arabia, imported 7.53 million tonnes, or 1. 83 million barrels per day, down from 1. 99 million barrels per day in August and a 5.4% decrease on an annual basis.
According to the data, China’s total crude oil imports reduced by two percent annually while Russia’s purchases significantly increased, putting pressure on Angola’s supply, which fell by 36 percent annually.

Saudi Arabia held the top spot in the first nine months with a total supply of 65.84 million tonnes, a 1% yearly decline. To finish second, the Russian supplies climbed by roughly 9% to 64.26 million tonnes.
The imports of oil from Malaysia, which was frequently utilised as a transfer hub for oil from Iran, Venezuela, and most recently Russia, were also shown in the customs data to have climbed by more than two ideals to a new high level of 4. 05 million tonnes.

This was more than the previous high of 3.37 million tonnes set in August.
In September, China also bought roughly 795 thousand tonnes of US crude oil; no imports occurred in August.
Iran or Venezuelan imports were not recorded.
