9 ISIS operatives were arrested in Syria, including 4 leaders

The Turkish Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of nine terrorists from the ISIS terrorist organization, including four leaders, in the city of Al -Bab in northern Syria, near the southern border of Turkey.
According to intelligence reports, ISIS groups in Syria are instructing the group’s members in sabotage and suicide bombers.

During the operation that took place on Saturday, according to the Anatolia Agency, nine terrorists, including one of the group’s leaders, as well as the assistant of the Syrian region / Damascus / Madava, nicknamed Abu Mashhab, were arrested alongside two logistical supervisors and financial affairs supervisors.
During searches of the terrorists who were detained by the local court to which they were sent, a sizable budget of digital documents was found.

400,000 civilians now have a safe haven in Al-Bab after the terrorist group ISIS was driven out of the city five years ago by the Euphrates Shield operation. This is true despite the terrorist organization’s increased attacks.

In line with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, Turkey launched the Euphrates Shield operation in 2016 in the city of Al -Bab through its borders to northern Syria to prevent the formation of a terrorist corridor and enable the peaceful resettlement of the population.
