On Sunday, the Kelowna RCMP and the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) team went in search of a young man who had vanished the previous week.
Dylan McNeil, age 22, was last seen in Kelowna on October 16. He sent a video and text message to his family at around 7:00 p.m., according to the RCMP.
A social media post said that during the previous few weeks, McNeil had expressed worry for his safety.
“Dylan’s family is worried about his security.

He hasn’t been in touch with his loved ones in a very unusual way, according to Kelowna RCMP Cst. Mike Della-Paolera, who made the statement in a news release.
As a Caucasian male with brown eyes and hair, McNeil is described. He is described as 6’2″ height and 170 pounds by the RCMP.
He was last seen operating a grey 2014 Ford Fusion with the licence plate number 524 TWA and a sticker reading “New Wave Docks” in the lower left corner of the back window.

On Sunday, searchers concentrated their efforts around the Postill Lake Road, which is where they discovered McNeil’s car.
This past weekend, the RCMP discovered his car here. They then phoned us in to assist them after conducting a thorough search, according to COSAR search manager Duane Tresnich.
There are three key areas that we will be evaluating region by area. We’re in the second one right now.

After they’re finished, we’ll take a brief break before searching the third. I intend to stay until at least nightfall.
The Kelowna RCMP is asking anyone with information regarding McNeil’s whereabouts to get in touch with them.
