Boris Johnson withdraws from the Conservative Party leadership race to succeed Liz Terrace

Boris Johnson, a former British prime minister, resigned today, on Sunday, from the contest for the Conservative Party’s presidential nomination and, consequently, the presidency of Britain’s ministries.
Johnson said that he would not nominate himself in the Conservative Party leadership race to replace Liz Terrace, leaving Rishi Sonak and Benin Mourtun only in the competition for the post of prime minister, according to the British newspaper Independent.

The newspaper stated that the former Prime Minister doubled his allegations that he “exceeded the very big obstacle of obtaining 102 nominations” required to enter the voting of members of Parliament from the Conservative Party.
He added: “You cannot properly judge until you have a united party in Parliament,” saying, “Unfortunately, he reached the judgement that this just will not be the appropriate thing to do.”
