The literary agent of Salman Rushdie: He lost his eyesight in one of his eyes and his ability to use one of his hands

Andrew Willie, the literary agent of the international writer Salman Rushdie, revealed that he lost his eyesight in one of his eyes and his ability to use one of his hands, as a result of the assassination attempt he suffered last August, while he was preparing to give a lecture in New York State.
On August 12, when Salman Rushdie, 75, entered the auditorium to deliver a talk on artistic freedom at the Chauteauqua Foundation, he was stabbed in the neck and trunk.

The extent of Rushdie’s injuries is still unknown. However, Andrew Willie described how dangerous the attack was and how it had changed his life in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pas.
He suffered severe injuries, but he also lost one of his eyes, according to Andrew Willie.
The agency refused to clarify whether Rushdie was still receiving treatment at the hospital, stating that Rushdie’s survival was of utmost importance.

Andrew Willie also said that he spoke with Rushdie about the possibility of such an attack in the past, and added: “The main danger he faced after many years of imposing the fatwa is from a random person who comes out of nothing and attacks it, so you cannot protect it because it is unexpected and changed Log in ever.
According to Andrew Willie, the world is experiencing a “very volatile era,” not the least of which is the United States.

I believe that nationalism, a form of fundamentalist right, is on the rise everywhere from Italy to Europe, Latin America, and the United States.

Salman Rushdie’s literary representative states that the author lost the use of one hand and one of his eyes.
