Sudan instructs its embassies to mobilize help in response to the floods.

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed its embassies abroad to work to coordinate with the Sudanese communities in the areas of representation, coordinate with the appropriate government agencies and authorities in the countries where they are present, mobilise relief and humanitarian aid, and take part in repairing flood damage.

This information was shared at a meeting held today, Saturday, at the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was presided over by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Dafallah Al-Haj Ali, and was intended to follow up on the implementation of the ministry’s plan to mobilise international and regional support to prevent and treat the effects of the torrential rains and floods that swept through parts of the country.
