Mali: The world demonstrators support the Iranians demanding their rights

After imposing a package of sanctions on officials involved in the suppression of the protesters who have been going on since the middle of last month, the United States has reaffirmed its support for the demonstrators in Iran. They have taken to the streets, calling against the “repressive authorities” and demanding respect for their rights and freedoms.

Robert Mali, the US special envoy, emphasised today, Sunday, that protests were held in Washington, D.C., and numerous other locations throughout the world to support the demonstrators in Iran.
On his Twitter account, he wrote: “The protesters in Washington and other cities around the world voice their support for the Iranian people who continue to peacefully march and demand that their government respect their dignity and human rights.

This statement was made after thousands of people, many of them Iranians, marched in Washington, D.C., yesterday, Saturday, in solidarity of the protests in Iran, bringing the banner “Women of Hayat Freedom,” to the White House.
Yesterday, there were also sizable pro-democracy protests in Berlin and Tokyo.

It is said that the protests in Iran have not subsided since the death of the twentieth young woman, I am an Amalgian, on September 16 (2022), three days after she was detained by the Ethics Police in Tehran and then taken to a capital hospital.

Her passing has since stoked the flames of resentment over a number of issues, including the limitations placed on individual freedoms and the stringent regulations governing women’s attire, as well as the living and economic crisis that the Iranian people experience, not to mention the stringent regulations imposed by the government system and its political structure as a whole.

While purposely utilising repressive and violent tactics, the government has shut down the Internet, shot live ammunition at protesters, detained university students and even young children.

Mali: Protesters from over the world back Iranians who are clamouring for their rights.
