On Saturday (local time), a shooting at a hospital in Dallas, Texas resulted in the deaths of two healthcare staff.
Police fired and injured the alleged shooter, according to the authorities.
According to hospital spokeswoman Ryan Owens, the gunshot happened inside Methodist Dallas Medical Center at around 11 a.m.
According to a statement from Owens, “A Methodist Health System Police Officer arrived on the scene, approached the suspect, and fired his pistol at the suspect, wounding him.”

Both the victims’ names and their jobs at the hospital weren’t immediately disclosed.
In a statement, the hospital system expressed its sorrow over the deaths.
“The Methodist Health System Family is heartbroken at the loss of two of our beloved team members,” according to the statement attributed to the system’s leadership. “This unthinkable catastrophe has left our entire organisation in mourning.

The suspect, whose name was also withheld right away, was brought to another hospital in an unidentified state while in police custody, according to Owens.
Hospital police were contacted with questions by Dallas police, but they did not respond to messages seeking comment.
A visitor was killed in a hospital shooting in Little Rock, Arkansas, in September, and four people were killed in a hospital shooting in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in June.
