Serbia imposes a visa on Tunisians starting from November 20

Serbia has declared that it would once more require entry visas from people of Burundi and Tunisia.
We applaud Serbia for taking this significant step toward adherence to the EU’s list of third-country visa requirements.
Oliver Farili added, “We hope to see further changes shortly.
We expect Serbia to take significant steps to comply with the EU’s list of countries that require visas. I hope to see more progress soon.

According to the Swiss agency “ATS,” Serbia will start requesting entry visas for Burundians starting on Saturday, October 22, and Tunisians starting on November 20.
This choice symbolises a victory for Switzerland and other “Schengen” nations in the struggle against Balkan road irregular migration.
The enormous number of migrants and refugees who enter the European Union through the Balkan Road was a topic of discussion with interior ministers last week.

Federal Chancellor, Karen Keeler Sotter, expressed her happiness that Belgrade wanted to align her visa policy in part with the policy of the “Schengen” region.
She claims that a number of nations have meddled with the European Commission and urged them to take action, including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Belgium.

While Syrian and Afghan refugees are the majority of refugees who enter the “Schengen” region through the Balkan route, the number of migrants from Turkey, Tunisia, India, Burundi, and Cuba has sharply increased since the year’s beginning. People from these nations can travel to Serbia without a visa, and many of them continue on their way to the European Union with the aid of smugglers.

In a related development, the Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tunisia gave permission on Saturday to hold two girls and a young man in order to construct a deal to make it easier to cross the border clandestinely and plan unauthorised operations to Serbia through Turkey.

According to research, a girl purposefully made adverts on “Facebook” offering to facilitate people looking to access the European continent by coordinating unauthorised migration operations through Turkey to Serbia in exchange for 20 thousand dinars (6. 5 thousand dollars).

According to Tunisian media, the girl was recognised as a resident of the capital’s core and put under monitoring, allowing her to confess to preparing unauthorised migration operations to Europe with the assistance of a fourth person in Turkey in the company of a girl and a young man.

The authorities arrested the three persons and seized important sums of money in their possession, coming from organizing irregular migration, as they confessed to enabling dozens of people to travel to Turkey to be enabled there to enter Serbia and then enter the European space.
