According to figures from customs and border protection, the number of migrants coming into the United States illegally throughout the course of the fiscal year 2022 exceeded 2. 76 million, shattering the previous record.
The Customs and Border Protection Office said that the migrants have suspended more than two million and 766,582 times for 12 months that ended on September 30, 2022, which is much higher than 1. 72 million times than the previous fiscal year, according to the American Axios news website.
The Customs and Border Protection Authority added that the increase was driven by the flow of migrants from Venezuela, Cuba and Nicarajoa who cross the border.
