The Automatic Pricing Committee for the Petroleum Products in question met to review and decide the prices of selling some petroleum products on a quarterly basis since its last meeting, which was held after the end of last September, and to study global economic conditions and their impact on the market, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum today, Saturday. Oil as a result of the repercussions of the Russian -Ukrainian war that led to the fluctuation of Brent crude prices, as well as after reviewing the exchange rate, the committee decided to fix the price of selling gasoline products of all kinds in the local market.
A tonne of fuel was sold for 5,000 pounds when used for purposes other than electricity and bakeries.
It is important to note that the committee’s recent decision to change the price of gasoline is a result of its commitment to the move to automatic pricing on some petroleum products, which was announced in July. This mechanism is used in many other countries to adjust the prices of some petroleum products sold locally to rise and fall every three months.
