$70M Max Millions lottery jackpot finally claimed

The Lotto Max prize has finally been claimed after lingering unclaimed for several weeks, despite the fact that the winning ticket was not purchased in Ontario.
In Friday’s Lotto Max draw, someone in Calgary claimed the jackpot, totaling $70 million. Six tickets at $1 million each were sold in Ontario.
Two $1 million winning tickets were sold in Nepean, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., along with additional winning tickets in Vaughan, Kitchener, Niagara, and Kingston.

In the Dufferin-Peel region, St. Catherines, Brampton, and Toronto, four extra Max Millions tickets worth $500,000 each were won.
In Brampton, a ticket valued slightly more than $274,000 was also sold.
The jackpot for the next draw on Oct. 25 will be an estimated $50 million, with two Maxmillion prizes of $1 million each up for grabs.
