Based on a suggestion by the Automatic Petroleum Production Committee, the Egyptian government agreed to implement fuel prices of all kinds for a duration of three months in the nation during the final quarter of this year.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said, in a statement today, Saturday, that the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products decided in its last meeting held after the end of last September, to establish the price of selling gasoline products of its three types in the local market.
The committee resolved to set the price of selling all types of gasoline products in the neighbourhood market at 8.00 pounds per litre for gasoline 80 and at 9.00 pounds per litre for gasoline 90.
25 pounds per litre per barrier and the price of selling a tonne of diesel for the uses of electricity and bakeries at 5000 pounds per tonne for gasoline 92, 10. 75 pounds per litre for gasoline 95, and 7. 25 pounds per litre per barrier.
The decision was reached, according to the committee, after “studying the global economic conditions and its impact on the oil market as a result of the consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war that led to the fluctuation of Brent crude prices, as well as after assessing the currency rate.”
