Wolfsburg, a German football team, apologised on Saturday for some of its players’ lack of dedication in wearing masks during the squad’s train ride to Bayer Leverkusen before the match. The players also showed respect for the railroad workers.
A video recorded by an employee of the “ARD” channel was on the same train by chance, which showed that several players were not committed to wearing the masks and their cynicism was repeated on an employee who reminded them several times to wear the muzzle during the trip on Friday.
In the footage, the employee of the television network was heard saying, “I don’t think the players’ conduct is decent.”
In a statement released prior to today’s match in the German League (Bundesliga) games against Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg acknowledged that its players had engaged in “unacceptable behaviour.”
